The Korea Productivity Center (KPC) is set to provide consulting services aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Korea establish fair and rational wage systems.

On the 28th, KPC announced that it had been selected as the operating agency for the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s "2025 Industry-Specific Wage System Improvement Support Project." As part of this initiative, KPC is now recruiting shipbuilding SMEs to participate in wage system improvement consulting.

The project aims to develop fair and reasonable wage structures tailored to the unique characteristics of each industry and enterprise. It specifically targets SMEs and mid-sized companies in the shipbuilding sector that recognize the need for and are committed to improving their wage systems.

KPC will offer these consulting services free of charge, easing the financial burden on participating companies. Selected businesses will undergo a comprehensive diagnosis of their wage systems and overall human resources practices. Based on these assessments, KPC will design customized wage structures and HR systems and provide follow-up support to ensure practical implementation.

Additionally, KPC plans to share best practices for wage system improvements and facilitate networking opportunities among participating companies. Applications are open until June 30, and detailed information can be found in the announcements section of KPC’s official website.

Moon Jung-seong, head of KPC’s Management Consulting Division, stated, "We are committed to establishing and spreading wage systems suitable for SMEs and mid-sized companies in the shipbuilding sector. Our goal is to ensure that skilled workers receive fair and reasonable wages, contributing to the sustainable growth of the shipbuilding industry."

KPC is a nonprofit special corporation dedicated to enhancing industrial productivity. It supports corporate and industrial competitiveness through services such as consulting, education, and research.
