BABYMONSTER's debut song, 'BATTER UP'

(MHNSPORTS Heewon Kim reporter) "YG Rookie" BABYMONSTER has achieved a new K-pop record from the first day of their debut.

The 'BATTER UP' music video of BABYMONSTER (Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Rora, and Chiquita) exceeded 22.59 million views in 24 hours after it was released at midnight of the 27th. This is the highest number of views in the history of a K-pop group debut music videos in 24 hours.

BABYMONSTER's debut song, 'BATTER UP' is performing well on overseas charts. The music video topped the music video charts of local music streaming sites such as Japan's Line Music and China's QQ Music, and on QQ Music, it topped the 'Music Index Chart', which collects music fans' interactions and streaming in real time, as well as the 'Rising Chart' and 'New Song Chart'.

On iTunes, it topped the song charts in a cumulative 21 countries and settled in the top 5 of the worldwide charts. It also gained added significance by entering the US and UK song charts, which are considered the world's two largest music markets.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER, a new girl group released by YG, 7 years after BLACKPINK, currently has 3.54 million subscribers and over 500 million cumulative views on its official YouTube channel.
