BLACKPINK’s Rosé Dominates Charts with Solo Album ‘Rosie’
Rosé Tops Ktown4u Weekly Chart Again
(By Esther Jeong, MHN Sports) BLACKPINK’s Rosé continues to shine as her first full-length solo album, Rosie, swept the Ktown4u weekly album sales chart. The chart, based on sales data from November 2 to November 8, revealed her album's dominance, securing the top three spots.
The Korean version of Rosie sold an impressive 31,591 copies, taking first place. Additionally, the JEWEL version and Retail version of the album sold 23,831 and 11,952 copies, respectively, clinching second and third places on the chart.
This isn’t Rosé’s first time leading Ktown4u’s weekly rankings. She previously claimed the top spot in the weeks of September 30–October 6 and November 18–24.
An Emotional and Personal Album
Released at midnight on November 6, Rosie features 12 tracks, including her previously released singles APT. and Number One Girl, as well as the unreleased track Toxic Till the End. With lyrics and compositions entirely crafted by Rosé, the album reflects deeply personal stories and emotions she has shared with close friends.
Record-Breaking Pre-Release Single ‘APT.’
Ahead of the album release, Rosé set the stage with APT., a track that broke multiple records upon its release on October 18. The single achieved a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) on South Korea’s domestic music charts, secured the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s U.S. chart, and topped iTunes charts in 40 regions worldwide. On China’s QQ Music, the largest music platform in the region, APT. also claimed the No. 1 position, solidifying Rosé’s influence across both Western and Asian markets.
Historic Achievement on Billboard
Rosé made history with APT. by debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the highest entry by a female K-pop artist and the first to debut in the top 10. This monumental achievement represents a career high for the BLACKPINK star.
